For one day, the center of World Cup culture was not a stadium. It was Brooklyn Bridge Park.
adidas took over the waterfront on June 26 for Home of Soccer, one of its biggest FIFA World Cup 26 activations of the summer, turning the park into a full day of football, fashion, music, and community that drew thousands of fans.
The guest list ran across generations of the sport. David Beckham, Trinity Rodman, Paul Pogba, Marcelo Vieira, Alessia Russo, Aitana Bonmatí, Chloe Kelly, Donovan Mitchell, and Cavan Sullivan all turned up. One of the day’s signature moments came when Beckham linked up with rising prospect Cavan Sullivan, a small piece of staging that captured the whole event: the icons who built the game standing next to the players about to inherit it.

The women’s game got its own spotlight. AJ Tracey introduced a lineup featuring Linda Dallmann, Chloe Kelly, Lily Yohannes, and Trinity Rodman, a nod to the FIFA Women’s World Cup now a year away.
Then the sun went down and the day shifted from football festival to concert. Larry June opened before PinkPantheress closed the night, while adidas leaned into New York’s own scene through a partnership with The Lot Radio that brought live sets from DJ Tara, Mickey Perez, and Hellotones.
The smaller details were where it got fun. The adidas Stripes Exchange gathered vintage collectors, local creatives, and independent brands built around football style. Haitian-American hair artist Kayra Theodore set up a World Cup braiding installation with custom flag beads so fans could rep their team. And adidas floated a larger-than-life version of Lamine Yamal’s knee-slide celebration past the park, framed against the Manhattan skyline for one of the weekend’s most-shared images.
There was real soccer too. On the adiCup pitch, the Manhattan Kickers won their way to tickets for England vs. Panama and booked a place in the national adiCup Finals later this summer.

adidas says Home of Soccer will stay open as a fan destination through the rest of the tournament, with more watch parties, performances, and appearances to come. For a brand that dresses more World Cup teams than anyone, turning the off-pitch hours into their own event is the entire strategy.
