Hellstar built its name in the streetwear world before moving into footwear partnerships, and adidas has leaned on that cultural pull to give its newer basketball models more attention. The Adizero Electric II sits in the brand’s performance hoops lineup, a space adidas has been rebuilding as it pushes back into the category after years away from the top of it.
This signals adidas using culture-first partners to carry its basketball shoes into rooms where spec sheets alone would not.
