Jordan Brand adds to its women’s lineup with the Air Jordan 3 Sports Renaissance (W), an Obsidian and Track Red colorway that mixes tones and adds a scrunched nylon tongue.

The Air Jordan 3 first arrived in 1988, designed by Tinker Hatfield, and it changed the line with visible Air, the elephant print, and the first Jumpman logo. It is one of the most important shoes in the entire catalog, which is why Jordan Brand keeps returning to it for new stories and materials.
To me this shows Jordan Brand treating the women’s category as a place to actually experiment rather than just shrink down men’s colorways. The asymmetric color setup and the jeggings-style scrunched tongue are the kind of details you rarely see on a general Air Jordan 3 release. It is a small twist on a familiar shape, but small twists are how Jordan keeps a 1988 model feeling current. The Sports Renaissance also arrives in PS and TD sizing for younger fans.
Release details: $205, releasing August 15, 2026, style code CK9246-400.
Where to buy: Nike, SNKRS, and select Jordan Brand retailers.
