The adidas Adistar Jellyfish Pharrell Williams Crystal Sand is the latest general release in Pharrell’s ongoing Jellyfish line, this time in a sandy tan and blue makeup.

The Jellyfish is one of the stranger shapes in Pharrell’s long partnership with adidas. Where his earlier work leaned on familiar silhouettes like the Superstar and the NMD Hu, the Adistar Jellyfish is built around wide, sweeping TPU accents that wrap the upper and give the shoe an almost aquatic, sculptural look. It is a design that asks to be noticed, which fits Pharrell’s habit of using footwear as a vehicle for ideas rather than just another colorway exercise.
This Crystal Sand version softens the concept. Sandy tan shades cover the upper and the TPU cage, black matches the outsole and runner’s toe, and light blue sweeps across the back of the midsole and the tongue tag for a seaside feel.
To me that signals the Jellyfish is settling into a real general-release run rather than staying a one-off spectacle. Toning the palette down to earthy neutrals makes the shape easier to wear, and it opens the door to buyers who liked the silhouette but wanted a version that reads calmer on foot.
