The adidas Adizero EVO SL EXO gets a suede treatment in Magic Beige, and it released on August 25, 2026.

The Adizero EVO SL has been one of adidas‘ better recent stories. It started as a stripped-down trainer pulled out of the Adizero racing line, built with Lightstrike cushioning and aimed at runners who wanted race-day feel in something they could wear every day. Then the lifestyle market picked it up, and the EVO SL became one of the few performance models in years to cross over on its own without a collaborator attached to it.
The EXO version adds an external cage over the upper for structure, and this pair wraps that cage in suede across a Magic Beige, Cargo Brown, and Cardboard palette. It is the same shoe adidas has been selling to runners, rendered in materials that have nothing to do with running.
This shows adidas learned a lesson it kept missing with Ultraboost. Instead of waiting for a silhouette to go stale and then chasing it with collabs, the brand is running the material story in parallel while the performance model is still selling on its own merits. Beige, brown, and cardboard is also about as far from the Adizero’s usual neon as adidas could reasonably go.
If you have been waiting for an EVO SL you can wear with something other than shorts, this is the pair.
