The adidas Harden Vol. 10 Pure Ruby puts James Harden’s tenth signature shoe under a high-gloss red shell, and it is the most aggressive colorway the model has worn so far.
Harden signed with adidas in 2015 in a deal that reset what a non-Nike signature athlete could command, and the line has stayed in production longer than most guard signature series manage. Reaching a tenth model puts him in rare company for a player who is no longer the centerpiece of a title contender, which says something about how much adidas still values the connection.
Nearly the entire molded upper is covered in bright red with minimal branding, letting the sculpted design carry the shoe. Curved ridges run through the toe and along the sides, forming concentric waves that shift as light moves across the finish. A black knit inner bootie sits under the shell, joined by black elastic laces, tongue accents, heel counter, and pull tabs. A reflective adidas logo is embossed on the forefoot, and the outsole carries the red finish with circular traction under the forefoot and heel.
To me this signals adidas treating the Harden line as a design platform more than an endorsement vehicle at this stage. The molded shell construction is genuinely different from the mesh and overlay approach most basketball models still use, and the brand is using color to show that off. More adidas coverage is here.
