The Air Jordan 4 ‘Comic’ arrives as a 2026 retro that trades traditional Air Jordan aesthetics for a pop-art makeover rooted in sneaker and streetwear history. The shoe takes design cues from a 1985 Michael Jordan ‘Dunk’ T-shirt illustrated in vintage comic-book style, translating that hand-drawn energy directly onto the silhouette without licensing any superhero properties.
The build starts with an off-white leather upper paired with grey suede on the mudguard and quarter panels. The wing eyelets swap the standard perforated cage for jagged ‘Pow’ shapes rendered in red and pink to mimic comic-book impact bursts. Mesh netting underneath hides a gradient fading from orange to pink, while a black plastic wing splits the lateral panel as it does on the original Air Jordan 4 design.

The heel drives home the concept. The molded Nike Air tab uses comic-book lettering with a halftone dot pattern, styled to read like text pulled from a vintage comic panel. A small ‘Pow’ burst graphic sits on the heel tab, and the interior lining flashes fire red against the off-white shell. Down below, a black midsole wing meets a muslin-tinted bumper and a translucent light arctic pink outsole.
The Air Jordan 4 ‘Comic’ launches July 25, 2026 at a $220 retail price. It will release across Nike.com, the SNKRS app, Foot Locker, Finish Line, and JD Sports. The colorway is listed as Off White/Anthracite-Neutral Grey-Fire Pink-Light Arctic Pink-Muslin, and the style code is IO2362-100.
