Jordan Brand is bringing back the Air Jordan 4 Tour Yellow on September 5, 2026. The white, yellow and dark blue grey colorway last had a full retail run in 2006, and it returns in adult sizing alongside grade school, preschool and toddler pairs.
The Air Jordan 4 arrived in 1989 as Tinker Hatfield’s follow up to the Air Jordan 3. It was the first Jordan model to get a wide global release, and the mesh side panels, plastic lace wings and visible Air unit made it one of the most recognizable basketball shoes of its era. Tour Yellow is not tied to a specific game or moment. It belongs to the mid 2000s stretch when Jordan Brand was willing to put brighter, less traditional color blocking on the 4.
That is part of why it matters now. Jordan’s 2026 retro calendar has leaned on the 2000s and 2010s rather than only the 1985 to 1993 core, and Tour Yellow fits that pattern cleanly. Collectors who came into sneakers around 2006 get a pair they actually remember buying, and the brand widens its retro pool without spending another OG colorway. That signals a deliberate shift in how Jordan plans a year.
