Casablanca Del Mar Drops at $470

$470
Casablanca Del Mar

Casablanca, the French luxury house founded in 2018 by designer Charaf Tajer, has released the Del Mar, an in-house sneaker design that pulls from the late-1970s skate shoe playbook. Named after the iconic Del Mar skatepark in California, the shoe trades the brand’s usual New Balance collaborations for its own take on vintage skate aesthetics.

The Del Mar arrives in an off-white colorway that pairs crisp white canvas with soft grey suede across the toe, heel, and side panels. A chunky white rubber sole wraps the foot with a rounded toe bumper and sits on a gum-tinted waffle outsole that directly echoes vintage skate shoes. Fine details define the build, thick cream knit laces and a green embroidered logo on the tongue. Gold Casablanca script appears on the side, while a red enamel monogram charm pins at the throat. The shoe is made in Portugal.

Casablanca Del Mar

The Del Mar runs slightly big. Casablanca recommends going half a size down from your usual sneaker size for a snug fit, especially if you prefer a more locked-in feel. The toe box is rounded and roomy with a generous footbed, so true-to-size buyers will likely notice extra length up front.

At $470, the Del Mar sits in premium sneaker territory. The materials, finishing, and made-in-Portugal construction justify the price point. This is a quiet luxury play rather than a logo-forward statement, built as an everyday tonal white sneaker with real character and restraint.
