The GEL-CUMULUS 16 (PS) lands in Midnight and Illusion Blue, scaling down ASICS‘ 2014 runner to preschool sizing. The shoe pulls design cues from the original era, combining synthetic leather overlays with no-sew paneling and open mesh underlays that nod to technical running shoes of the mid-2010s.

ASICS developed this kids’ version with input from the ASICS Institute of Sport Science, prioritizing support for growing feet. The forefoot features increased flexibility while the midfoot delivers added stability, addressing the specific needs of younger runners. The silhouette draws from ASICS archive models, referencing the flowing lines and scalloped edges that defined the 2000s and 2010s design language.

The GEL-CUMULUS line has been a workhorse in ASICS’ running lineup for years, known for cushioning and responsive performance across multiple generations. This kids’ iteration maintains that lineage while updating the construction to match modern expectations for durability and fit.
