KidSuper and BAPE are collaborating on a World Cup-themed STA collection that will hit the market in June. The release includes signed auction pairs on StockX and limited in-store drops at KidSuper Studios in Brooklyn and select BAPE locations in Japan.
One signed pair of each colorway in the collection will be auctioned off on StockX from June 11-15. Each pair will be signed by KidSuper founder Colm Dillane, adding a premium element to the auction offering. Some colorways will release in-store on June 11 at KidSuper Studios in Brooklyn and at select BAPE stores in Japan, though availability will be limited.

The BAPE STA silhouette has been a cornerstone of BAPE’s footwear lineup since its debut in the early 2000s. The model draws inspiration from classic basketball sneakers while incorporating BAPE’s signature aesthetic. Over the years, the STA has become one of the brand’s most recognizable designs, spawning countless collaborations with designers, brands, and retailers. Its popularity extends beyond streetwear enthusiasts to collectors who appreciate the shoe’s blend of heritage and contemporary design.
KidSuper, the fashion brand founded by Colm Dillane, is known for its eclectic approach to design that blends maximalism with playful sensibility. The brand has built a reputation for distinctive footwear collaborations that feel fresh and unexpected. This partnership with BAPE represents a convergence of two brands that share an appreciation for bold aesthetics and cultural relevance.

The World Cup theme suggests the collection may incorporate football-inspired elements or colorways. Past BAPE STA collaborations have included limited colorways and special materials, often tied to cultural moments or upcoming events. The dual-release strategy, with both auction and retail components, allows collectors to pursue the collection through different channels based on their preferences.
Retail pairs will drop in-store on June 11 at KidSuper Studios and select BAPE locations. The auction component on StockX from June 11-15 adds another layer of accessibility for those unable to access physical retail locations.
