Skechers’ First World Cup: The ‘Sunset’ Pack, Razor 2 and SKX_2

Skechers technically just showed up to football, and it arrives at the 2026 World Cup with the England captain on its feet. Skechers Football launched only three years ago, which makes this its first World Cup, full stop.

The “Sunset” pack, inspired by California’s coastline at dusk, covers two silos: the Razor 2 speed boot and the SKX_2 control boot. The colorway leans into warm gradient tones, a fitting nod to one of the host regions and a clean visual identity for a brand still introducing itself at this level.

The roster is the headline. Harry Kane, a two-time European Golden Boot winner and England’s captain, is the brand’s marquee name, alongside Anthony Elanga and Barış Alper Yılmaz. A company that did not exist in football three years ago has one of the most reliable goalscorers on the planet leading its first World Cup campaign.

That is either the fastest credibility arc in the sport’s history or a story that unravels in public over the next forty days. Brands usually spend a decade earning their way to a player like Kane. Skechers got there in three years, which raises the stakes on every match he plays in.

For sneaker watchers, Skechers is a fascinating case study. The brand built an enormous business on comfort and value, and football is a very different arena, one built on performance credibility and cultural cachet. Putting real money behind Kane and a clean debut pack is a serious swing.
