Nike Golf is marking the 2026 U.S. Open with a special Air Max 90 Golf inspired by Long Island’s coastal setting. The tournament runs from June 18 to 21 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in the Hamptons, returning the major championship to the location for the first time since 2018.
The Air Max 90 Golf gets dressed in cream, sail, and muted green tones across its layered construction. The colorway draws from the Long Island landscape and ties directly to the major championship taking place that week.

The Air Max 90 remains a versatile silhouette both on and off the course. Originally released in 1990 as a running shoe, the model has evolved into a cultural staple while maintaining its visible Air unit and segmented sole design. The Golf variant adapts the classic shape with course-specific features suited to the sport.
This release aligns with Nike Golf’s tradition of creating commemorative footwear around major tournaments. The pairing of classic Air Max DNA with golfing purpose keeps the shoe functional while celebrating the tournament’s heritage and setting.
