SLAM x Nike Zoom Hyperflight Starfish Release Date, Price, and Where to Buy

Nike Zoom Hyperflight SLAM Starfish orange, style code IV6130-800

Nike and SLAM open their Fall 2026 basketball collection with the Zoom Hyperflight in Starfish orange, a pairing that leans hard on the early 2000s for both sides.

The Hyperflight arrived in 2003 as one of Nike‘s stranger basketball experiments, a nearly seamless synthetic shell with Zoom Air and almost none of the traditional overlay structure. It never sold the way the Foamposite did, but it aged into one of the more recognizable shapes of that era.

This version comes covered in glossy Starfish orange patent leather with a white Swoosh near the lateral toe. Grey handles the tongue, laces, and portions of the outsole, black detailing breaks up the side structure, and reflective 3M sits around the collar and tongue. SLAM branding appears on the tongue and heel, with the large S logo across the back.

SLAM has been covering hoops since 1994, and the orange is the magazine’s own. Three more shoes are expected in the collection, covering the GT Cut 4, Sabrina, and Ja 4.

This proves Nike knows its early-2000s basketball catalog is worth more as culture than as performance product. The Hyperflight is not coming back because anyone is asking to hoop in it. It is coming back because that silhouette reads instantly to people who were reading SLAM at the time.

Release details: $170, releasing August 25, 2026, style code IV6130-800.
