A$AP Rocky x PUMA Straycat Release Date, Price, and Where to Buy

PUMA Straycat A$AP Rocky, style code 408509-01

PUMA and A$AP Rocky add the Straycat to a partnership that has spent the last few years pulling from motorsport, and this one goes further into that territory than most of what came before it.

Rocky has served as Creative Director of PUMA‘s F1 program, and the racing and industrial references have shown up consistently across the Mostro, the Inhale, and the apparel that came with them. The Straycat is a new shape rather than another reworking of a PUMA archive model.

A Vibram outsole wraps up onto parts of the upper, similar to the treatment used on the Mostro. Hardened mesh runs around the collar, distressed Formstrips give the sides a worn finish, and a double-lace system adds a second layer across the top. Packaging follows the same theme, with a dust bag covered in vintage car graphics.

PUMA has leaned on Rocky as its clearest cultural signal during a stretch where the brand has been rebuilding its lifestyle business. That shows the Straycat matters more as a statement than as a volume shoe. A new silhouette carries risk that another Speedcat colorway does not, and PUMA choosing to launch it through Rocky rather than through a mainline push says something about where the brand thinks its credibility lives right now.

Release details: Releasing August 27, 2026, style code 408509-01, with retail listed at $150.

Where to buy: PUMA and select overseas retailers. A wider U.S. release has not been confirmed.
