Chevy x Nike Book 2 Penny Release Date, Price, and Where to Buy

Nike Book 2 Penny Chevy Metallic Red Bronze, style code IO9841-900

Devin Booker’s Chevrolet collection keeps finding its way onto his signature Nike line. The Chevy x Nike Book 2 in Metallic Red Bronze, listed as the Nike Book 2 Penny Chevy, takes its color directly from Booker’s 1959 Chevrolet Impala convertible, a car he calls “Pretty Penny.”

The Book line started as Nike’s first new signature basketball model in years that leaned lifestyle as much as performance. Booker wanted a low-profile shoe he could wear off the court, and the Book 1 delivered that with a stripped-back upper closer to a tennis shoe than a modern basketball boot. The Book 2 keeps that thinking and adds a molded upper that takes glossy finishes like this one well.

Here the upper is Metallic Red Bronze patent that reads copper under light. Chevrolet’s crossed flags sit on the heel and a metallic V logo lands on the tongue, both pulled from the vintage Impala. Booker has done two Chevy Book 1 releases already, so this is a partnership that keeps working because the reference is real. It is his car, not a licensing deal built in a conference room.

This signals Nike is comfortable letting a signature athlete build a story outside basketball entirely. Booker’s audience for this pair is as much car people as hoop fans, and that widens who the Book line can reach.
