Nike is releasing the GT Cut 1 Unseen Hours EYBL on August 25, 2026, a Sunblush, black and topaz gold version of the shoe that started the GT Cut line.

The GT Cut arrived in 2021 as part of Nike‘s Greater Than series, built low to the ground and aimed at guards who live on lateral quickness. It became the default shoe across college, high school and grassroots basketball almost immediately. EYBL versions have historically moved through Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball League circuit rather than general retail, which is a large part of why the makeups carry weight with younger players. The Unseen Hours collection frames the work that happens away from games.
Bringing back the GT Cut 1 while later versions of the model are still in rotation is the part worth watching. This proves performance basketball shoes now get retro cycles the same way lifestyle models do, and the gap between a shoe being current and being nostalgic keeps shrinking. It also keeps grassroots basketball working as a marketing channel rather than a side program. This one is for hoopers first and collectors second. More in our Nike coverage.
