New Balance FuelCell Rebel v5 Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone Release Date, Price, and Where to Buy

New Balance FuelCell Rebel v5 Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, style code MFCX8E5

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone’s third New Balance collection includes a FuelCell Rebel v5 in Meteorite and White, a muted grey and white treatment on what is usually one of the loudest categories in running.

New Balance has been making running shoes since 1906 and has spent the last decade rebuilding its performance credibility around the FuelCell line, with the Rebel serving as the daily trainer that borrows its geometry from race day. McLaughlin-Levrone has been with the brand since she turned pro, and she has since become the face of its track program, which puts her among the few New Balance athletes with real input on how her shoes look.

The restraint is the interesting part. Signature running product usually arrives in a colorway loud enough to read from the stands, because the shoe is being sold on the back of a televised moment. This one goes the other direction.

That suggests New Balance is positioning the collection as something you actually put on for a Tuesday morning rather than something you buy because you watched a final. The rest of the collection covers the flash anyway, with a 9060R and an SC MD-X v3 spike arriving the same day, so the Rebel is free to be the sensible one. There is a women’s version as well, under style code WFCX1YQ.

Release details: $145. September 8, 2026. Style code MFCX8E5.

Where to buy: New Balance and select New Balance retailers.
