New Balance 950 Drops in Off-White and Beige

New Balance is launching the 950, a lifestyle trainer that reclaims a numerical designation previously used for military footwear. The Boston brand has repositioned the 950 as a slim, modern casual shoe that sits somewhere between minimalism and structured design.

The 950 features a thick rubber midsole with a layered upper that mixes leather and suede throughout. The toe box comes in suede while the rest of the upper uses leather paneling. The heel counter employs dual-layering for both structural support and color-blocking potential. New Balance‘s signature N logo gets a unique treatment here, cut out from the base layer and applied in suede to create an outline effect from negative space. Thick cotton laces round out the construction.

For this debut, the 950 comes in an off-white and beige colorway that keeps things understated. The model builds on the approach New Balance has been taking with lifestyle trainers in recent seasons, moving beyond the brand’s well-known running lineage to establish simple, wearable everyday shoes. While New Balance’s numbering system once indicated a shoe’s tier in terms of materials and construction, that system has shifted over the years. Today, numbers primarily designate product families rather than hierarchy.

The New Balance 950 releases July 1, 2026 at $120.
