Reebok Brutus Low Heritage Green Is the Eagles Shoe Reebok Never Named

Reebok has a green Brutus Low live on its own site right now, listed at $130 with one size in stock and no launch date attached to it. Every feed that picked the shoe up this week called it the “Philadelphia Eagles” pair. Reebok calls it Heritage Green/White/White and never mentions a team, a city or the NFL anywhere on the page. That gap between what the brand shipped and what the internet named it is the most interesting thing about what is otherwise a clean team-colored retro.

The Brutus is one of the archive pulls Reebok has been leaning on all year, and it comes out of the brand’s Preseason line, the football-training family it ran through the 1990s alongside the basketball and cross-training business that made its name. Reebok’s own copy for this pair says only that it is a heritage shoe with inspiration from the 90s, so the Preseason attribution comes from the outlets that covered the relaunch rather than from the brand. Either way, the build gives it away. Next to the Club C and the Classic Leather that carry Reebok’s lifestyle business today, the Brutus reads heavy and armored, because it was made for the weeks before a season rather than for a Sunday. The Brutus Low retro arrived February 2 in Black/Black/White and Ftwr White/Black/Vector Red at $130, and two more colorways followed before this one. The shape has not been softened for 2026. It still runs a molded midsole under a layered upper, with a Vector on the side panel and a second Vector cut into the tread.

Heritage Green/White/White puts a deep forest green across the toe, the side panels and the collar, with white on the midsole, the underlays and the Vector. The upper is synthetic with textile underlays over an EVA midsole, per Reebok’s own product copy, which makes this the standard Brutus Low build rather than a premium execution. The pictures show a shoe carrying more white than the name suggests. A perforated white toe overlay, a white Vector on the side, white lace loops and a white heel panel all break the green up, and the outsole reverses the scheme entirely, running white with the green pulled into the traction pattern. The tongue and heel tabs are white with green Reebok script. There is no special material story here and no limited run attached to it. It is a colorway, done cleanly, on a shape that does most of the work by itself.

Reebok held the NFL’s on-field license until Nike took it over for the 2012 season, ending a run Bloomberg counted at twelve years. Fourteen seasons later the brand has no team rights and no jersey business, which is exactly why this shoe is named after a color. A green shoe in Philadelphia in September does the job a licensed shoe used to do, and it does it without a license fee. This is also not the first time. Reebok ran the Brutus Low in Black/Always Yellow/White earlier this year, and that pair got written up as a Steelers shoe on the same logic. The brand has found a lane where the audience supplies the branding for free, and the archive silhouette is what makes it work, because a 1990s football trainer already looks like team gear before anyone picks the colors. It is the same instinct behind the G-Unit G6 revival and the Phase Evo, which is to let something Reebok already owns carry the story.

$130 is where the Brutus Low launched in February and where this pair is listed now. The complication is the rest of the page. Four Brutus Low colorways are on Reebok.com at $64.97 as of September 9, marked down from $130, and that is every colorway the model has had so far. The new green pair is asking exactly double what the black pair, the white pair, the Light Fog pair and the black-and-yellow pair cost today. Reebok is not alone in running a retro at full price over a rack of the same shoe at half, and it has done the opposite too, pricing the 3D-printed Question at $169 with no discount in sight. The Reebok Brutus Low in Heritage Green/White/White carries style code 100263449 and a $130 retail price. Reebok published the product page on September 8 with one size in stock out of twenty-one, which is what a page looks like before inventory loads. JustFreshKicks has the release dated September 16. Reebok has published no date of its own, so treat the 16th as the best available read rather than a confirmed one.
