Jordan Brand put five Air Jordan 11 designs into its Space Jam collection, and one of them is a baseball cleat. It arrives November 5 with everything else in the set. The detail worth pulling out is where its color came from. The brand’s own release says the cleat’s blue palette draws from the Magic Ball, the women’s Air Jordan 11 in the same collection, rather than from the Retro OG that recreates the shoe Michael Jordan wore in the film.
The Air Jordan 11 is the model this whole collection rests on. Nike’s archive page dates it to 1995, credits Tinker Hatfield and lists the original in white, black and dark concord under style code 130245-101. The patent leather mudguard was the argument, a dress-shoe material wrapped around a basketball shoe at a time when performance footwear was supposed to look technical. What is less often said out loud is where Hatfield was in his process when he drew it. Jordan was not playing basketball. He was playing minor league baseball for the Birmingham Barons, and the widely repeated account, which Jordan Brand has never disputed, is that the 11 was drawn and sampled while he was gone. The shoe arrived as a bet that he would come back. He did, and then he wore it in a movie, which is why a cartoon from 1996 still sells sneakers in 2026.
So a baseball cleat is not a stunt here. The brand describes this one as a durable synthetic-leather upper with lightweight cushioning and traction, built to carry the 11’s recognizable pieces onto dirt. The press frame shows a royal blue upper with a glossy mudguard that rises in the 11’s signature wave toward the midfoot, a Jumpman at the ankle, and a molded plate with conical studs underneath. The whole shoe is a single value of blue, upper and mudguard and plate together, so the contrast that normally defines this silhouette has been replaced by a gloss-against-matte difference instead of a color one. It is photographed on a player’s foot in the dirt rather than on a table, which is the right call for a cleat and a rarity in a sneaker press kit. Two things are worth flagging. The brand says synthetic leather and never says patent, the same substitution the Magic Ball makes on the lifestyle pair. And the frame is one angle, so the heel, the lace lock and the interior cannot be seen and are not described here.

The color sourcing is the part that says something. For three decades the Air Jordan 11’s derivative chain ran outward from the original, with every new version measured against white and concord. This cleat takes its cue from a brand-new women’s colorway instead, which means Jordan Brand is treating the Magic Ball as a tentpole rather than an offshoot. That is a meaningful promotion for a women’s silhouette inside a collection this size. The second signal sits in the release itself. Jordan Brand made two cleats for this collection, and it marks the American football version as promo only, not for retail. The baseball one carries no such note. Of the two sports the brand chose to extend the 11 into, baseball is the one it thinks has buyers, and that is the sport the shoe was waiting on in the first place. Nike’s own Jordan navigation lists cleats as a standing category next to basketball and golf, so there is a shelf for this rather than a one-off, and an anniversary collection is a low-risk place to test whether that shelf’s buyers want a thirty-year-old basketball silhouette on their feet in the box.

Jordan Brand has not published a price for any piece of this collection, the cleat included. The reference points available are its own recent Jordan retros, the Air Jordan 3 Fireside at $205 on October 3 and the Air Jordan 12 Fireside at $215 on October 24, and the Air Jordan 11’s own original price, which Nike lists as $125 in 1995. Cleats and retro lifestyle pairs are priced on different logic, so none of those is a forecast. They are the only numbers currently attached to anything in this neighborhood. Worth keeping in mind that a cleat is a performance product with a smaller audience and a shorter shelf life than a retro, and brands price those two things with different ambitions.
The Air Jordan 11 Baseball Cleat releases November 5 at jordan.com as part of the Jordan Brand x Space Jam collection. No style code and no price have been published for it. The collection also carries the Air Jordan 11 Retro OG, the Magic Ball, the Green Screen, the Jordan First 1, an Air Jordan 3 Retro, an Air Jordan 1 Low SE and an Air Jordan 1 Low Golf Spike, with apparel for men, women and kids.
