New Balance and Kith have officially revealed the New Balance 2011, an all-new silhouette designed as the signature model for Kith and its 15th anniversary. The name is a direct reference to 2011, the year Kith first opened its doors, making this more than a standard collaboration. It is a shoe built to mark a milestone.
Kith was founded by Ronnie Fieg in 2011, originally as a sneaker-focused retail destination. Over the following fifteen years the brand expanded well beyond footwear, launching seasonal menswear and womenswear collections and building a roster of high-profile collaborations with labels including Giorgio Armani, The North Face, and Thom Browne. Kith also runs its Monday Program, a weekly release series that drops new product every Monday throughout the year, with sneaker collaborations making up a significant part of that schedule.
New Balance has been part of the Kith story from the beginning. The Boston-based brand has a decades-long reputation for performance running heritage translated into some of the most sought-after lifestyle silhouettes in the market.
