New Balance and Aime Leon Dore keep their long partnership going with the New Balance Gator Run Aime Leon Dore Hairy Suede, arriving in an Angora colorway built around soft, textured suede.

Aime Leon Dore and Teddy Santis have shaped a huge part of New Balance’s lifestyle rise over the past several years, from 550s to Made in USA runners. The Gator Run is a newer, trail-leaning silhouette, and putting ALD’s design language on it extends the collaboration into rougher, more technical territory than the pairs that made it famous.
To me this shows New Balance is comfortable letting ALD move past the obvious hits and experiment with shapes that have less built-in demand. The hairy suede finish is the kind of detail that reads better in person than on a screen, which fits how Santis tends to design for people who actually handle the shoe. At $130 retail it stays reachable, though early resale near $195 suggests the collaboration tax is still very real.
Release details: $130, releasing August 14, 2026, style code UGTR4DY.
