Devin Booker’s Nike Book 2 is getting a tribute to one of sneaker history’s most influential collaborations. The new colorway, dropping this June, references Don C’s iconic Air Jordan 2 from 2015, rendered in a tonal Royal Blue palette with quilted leather uppers and suede accents.

Don C’s 2015 Air Jordan 2 was a watershed moment for luxury sneaker design. The Chicago-based designer brought a refined, high-fashion sensibility to the Jumpman line at a time when most collaborations still operated within the sneaker mainstream. That original pair was inspired by his wife’s Chanel handbag, emphasizing craftsmanship and material quality. His choice of the Air Jordan 2, a model that had long been overlooked in the Jordan lineup, proved prescient. The silhouette’s original $100 retail price and Made in Italy construction gave it an understated prestige that aligned with Don C’s vision. Years later, his approach would help establish a template for high-end sneaker collaborations, paving the way for partnerships with houses like Dior, Miu Miu, and Margiela.

Booker’s Nike Book 2 iteration captures that same luxury sensibility. The shoe features a quilted leather construction throughout with suede detailing, sitting atop the signature Book 2 platform. The Royal Blue tone echoes the striking colorway from Don C’s original AJ2, creating a direct visual conversation between the two releases across more than a decade.

The Nike Book 2 Don C releases June 26, 2026 for $155. Pairs will be available through Nike and select retailers.
