The Nike Giannis Freak 8 Etched in Stone gives Giannis Antetokounmpo’s eighth signature shoe a marble print across the upper and midsole, in a black, volt, and light smoke grey makeup.

Giannis has had a signature line with Nike since the Zoom Freak 1 arrived in 2019, and the range has always been priced as a team-sport shoe rather than a collector item. The Etched in Stone name revives a colorway idea last used on the Freak 4, which puts this in the small group of Giannis makeups that get a second life. The marble graphic runs across the upper and continues into the midsole, with volt accents doing the contrast work.
This shows where the value end of Nike Basketball is heading. At $125 the Freak line sits well under the flagship signature price, and Nike has been using it to keep hoopers and parents in the funnel while the LeBron and Kobe lines chase the collector. Reusing a recognizable colorway name is a cheap way to build continuity in a line that has not had much of it. If you want a signature shoe you will actually wear on a court, this is the price point that makes sense.
