A Ma Maniere built its reputation on Jordan collaborations that arrive with a film attached. The Air Jordan 3 “Raised By Women” in 2021 came with James Whitner’s own story about his mother buying the originals for her kids in Pittsburgh. The Air Jordan 12 in 2023 came with a documentary called She Is The Blueprint. The Whitaker Group’s ReactX Rejuven8 Splatter Pack came with a spec line. No campaign, no essay, no statement from either party, and that silence is the most interesting thing about it.

First, fix what the aggregators got wrong. This is not a slide. Several outlets filed the pack under that word, and all three of Whitner’s own stores list it as a low top sneaker under footwear. Nike does make a Rejuven8 slide, and it is a different product at a different price in a different style code family. What this is instead is a closed-toe foam recovery slip-on, built almost entirely from ReactX, with a perforated forefoot and logo motifs on the side panels.
The Rejuven8 sits in Nike’s Recovery Collection, not its running line, which is worth saying because the name and the foam suggest otherwise. Nike introduced ReactX in July 2023 in the InfinityRN 4, claiming 13 percent higher energy return than the React foam it replaced. The sustainability line that came with it gets repeated loosely, so here is the precise version: Nike said the foam cuts the carbon footprint in a pair of midsoles by at least 43 percent through reduced manufacturing energy. Not the whole shoe, not recycled content, and measured against Nike’s own previous foam.
One spec difference on this pack is worth noting and nobody has explained it. Nike’s general release Rejuven8 carries a sticky rubber outsole. The retailer copy on all three of these colorways lists a ReactX composite foam midsole and outsole with no rubber mentioned at all. That is either a real material change or sloppy product copy, and since neither Nike nor the retailer has published anything, there is no way to settle it from the outside.
The group doing this is worth knowing properly, and the name trips people constantly. The company is The Whitaker Group, the founder is James Whitner. He opened Flava Factory in Charlotte in 2005, started Social Status in 2007 and A Ma Maniere in 2014, building in secondary markets other retailers had written off. The banners now run to A Ma Maniere, Social Status, APB and Prosper, with Jaide appearing alongside them on recent collaboration lineups. Nike and Jordan Brand have worked with him since at least 2021, and a New Balance partnership has been running in parallel since 2023.
The reason this reads as a program rather than a collaboration is in the style codes. The Whitaker Group’s Nike V5 RNR collection earlier this year runs on IU3431. This pack is IU3433. Adjacent blocks, which means one greenlight split across two price tiers rather than two separate deals. Look at how it is organised and the picture sharpens: each of Whitner’s banners gets handed a colorway rather than a shoe. Nike has stopped using these stores as a scarcity valve for one hero Jordan a year and started using them as a distributed colour studio across an entire foam category. That is a real change in the relationship, and it explains the missing film. You do not commission a documentary for the third colorway of a recovery clog.
Retail is $75, which is exactly what Nike charges for a plain Rejuven8 in its own Recovery Collection. There is no collaboration tax here at all, which is unusual and supports the read above. For scale, the V5 RNR pack from the same program sits at $95, and the Jordan collaborations this group is known for have run several times either figure. Whitner has said publicly that he wants people to wear the shoes rather than resell them. A pack priced at parity with the general release is the clearest expression of that he has put out.
Style code is IU3433-001 for Black Signal, with Blue Drift at IU3433-400 and Violet Rush at IU3433-500, all at the same price. It is a retailer exclusive, available through A Ma Maniere, Social Status and APB, and it is not on Nike.com or SNKRS. The release date is unconfirmed. No first-party page carries one, Nike’s newsroom has nothing, and the only date in circulation traces back to a single source we do not use. What can be said is that all three colorways were still in stock in a full size run as of September 19.
