Hartcopy x adidas BW Army Decon Halo Gold Release Date and Where to Buy

Hartcopy x adidas BW Army Decon Halo Gold, style code LA6836

Hartcopy is back on the adidas BW Army for a second collaboration, and the Halo Gold pair takes the deconstructed version of the silhouette and wraps it in a matte gold finish.

This drop uses the BW Army Decon, a softer and more stripped-back build than the standard model. The upper stays almost entirely free of branding, with subtle color variation across the toe, tongue, heel, and sole keeping the gold from going flat. The only hard contrast is Hartcopy’s red squiggly stitch on the lateral lace panel, a detail that reads like an editor’s mark left on the shoe. A gum outsole finishes it off. A Crystal White pair releases alongside it.

The BW Army descends from the German Army Trainer, the state-issued gym shoe adidas produced for the Bundeswehr through the seventies and eighties. Maison Margiela turned it into a fashion object with the Replica in the late nineties, and adidas has been reissuing the original under the BW Army name in recent years. The shape has become one of the more reliable low-profile leather sneakers in the catalog.

This signals adidas has learned to let small partners work on the quiet silhouettes rather than the loud ones. Hartcopy is a publishing and lifestyle project, not a sneaker brand, and the restraint on this pair is the whole point.

Release details: Releasing August 28, 2026, style code LA6836. Pricing has not been announced.
