Reebok is closing out the summer with the Angel Reese 1 in a bright new look called Atomic Aqua, pairing a saturated teal upper with black across the tooling.

Reebok has been rebuilding its basketball business for a few years now, and the Angel Reese 1 is one of the clearest signs of where that effort is pointed. Reese got her first signature shoe from the brand in 2025, which put her in a very small group of women with a signature basketball model. Reebok has deep history in the category, going back to Shaq and Allen Iverson in the 1990s, but a women’s signature line is newer ground for the company.
The Angel Reese 1 uses a molded TPU upper for containment and durability, with Reebok’s ERS cushioning underfoot and a stability cup wrapping the heel. Reese’s logo sits on the tongue. This drop arrives alongside a softer “Metal Green” pair in Chalk, Vintage Chalk, and Dew.
To me, the Atomic Aqua colorway signals that Reebok is treating this line as a lifestyle play as much as a performance one. Bright, single-color builds move at retail in ways that team-friendly neutrals do not, and a first signature shoe needs volume more than it needs restraint. It is aimed at players who want something loud, and at buyers who follow Reese rather than follow basketball footwear closely.
