Nike is selling a women’s Air Max 95 with a mirrored tongue badge and polished silver lace loops, and it is not filed as a colorway of anything. The shoe is called the Air Max 95 Big Bubble Chrome, and the last word is the part worth reading. It is live on nike.com now, with a full size run and no reviews behind it yet, which is the clearest available signal that this is new rather than a restock in a fresh badge. The Big Bubble has stopped being one shoe in a rotation of makeups and become a set of separately named versions.
Sergio Lozano designed the Air Max 95 around erosion and human anatomy rather than around speed, and the layered upper he landed on has outlasted nearly every design language Nike has run through since. The Big Bubble program is a far narrower idea than the shoe itself. It returns the 95 to the larger visible Air unit the silhouette carried in its earliest production, which is why the name points at the window in the midsole and not at anything happening above it. What began as one corrective reissue has become a shelf. Nike’s own catalogue currently carries a standard Big Bubble in men’s and women’s sizing, a Big Bubble “OG”, the Big Bubble Premium that landed days ago, a Nike SB version, two separate big kids’ runs, and now a Chrome. That is six names resting on one midsole argument, and no other Nike lifestyle silhouette is being subdivided this hard.

The Chrome earns its suffix on the hardware rather than on the upper. The tongue badge is a mirrored plate with air max pressed into it, and the lace loops climbing the eyestay are finished in the same polished silver, so the lacing sits inside a bright frame instead of vanishing into mesh. A chrome panel wraps the heel as well. Everything else is pink. Nike lists the colorway as Pink Foam, Pearl Pink and Metallic Silver, and the upper runs those tones as a gradient, synthetic leather and textile shifting from a dustier pink at the toe toward something near white across the midfoot. The brand’s copy credits the gradient to those two materials meeting, and the photography supports it. The forefoot windows and the heel unit are both left clear rather than tinted to match, so the Air reads as the one honest break in a shoe that otherwise refuses contrast. The Swooshes are deliberately quiet, a muted silver on the midfoot that nearly disappears into the panel and a black one at the heel, which leaves the metal to do the talking.

What makes this one worth noting is the naming, not the pink. Nike spent two years treating the restored Air unit as a corrective, something owed to the people who noticed the bubble had shrunk. A correction is a one-off. A suffix is a product line, and the brand has now added Premium and Chrome inside a single month on top of an “OG” that was already doing that job. Worth saying plainly: the Premium launched in men’s sizing and the Chrome has launched in women’s, which makes this the first Big Bubble sub-tier built for the women’s wall rather than handed down to it. That is a real change in how the 95 is being merchandised, and it is the detail the release feeds will skip. The risk is the one every tiered silhouette runs. Once there are six versions, the shopper stops reading the suffix and starts reading the sticker.
Retail is $190. That matches the Big Bubble “OG” and the Premium, and it sits under the men’s standard Big Bubble, which lists at $200 and is marked down to $138.97 on nike.com right now. The women’s standard Big Bubble is cut harder still, to $114.97 from $190, which Nike’s own badge calls 39 percent off. So the named versions are holding their line while the plain pair is discounted beneath them. Resale on the Big Bubble family has been soft outside the “Greedy” colorways, and a general release in a tonal pink is unlikely to break that pattern. Across the wider 95 shelf the spread is wider still, with the Nike SB build at $185 and the golf model listed at $210 and discounted to $119.97, so the silhouette is simultaneously a premium product and a clearance product depending on which door you walk through.

The Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble Chrome is available now at nike.com in Pink Foam, Pearl Pink and Metallic Silver, style code IV3305-600, at $190, in women’s sizing from 5 to 12. There is no SNKRS window attached to it and no reviews on the product page yet. A style code search on nike.com is the quickest way to check whether the size run is still intact.
